Sportball Hamilton

My name is Jake Weston and I am the Franchisee Owner of Sportball Hamilton. I started my Sportball career over 20 years ago when I saw an ad for a position in a local newspaper. As someone who has always had an interest in both sports, and working with children, I figured I’d apply. It started as a part time job for a couple hours on the weekends (I was still in High School) and grew into a full time passion. Upon completion of high school I wasn’t sure which direction I wanted to go with my further schooling and continued my learning with Sportball. After 7 years with the Sportball team I moved into teaching. I taught various levels from K-6 over my nine years at Kew Park in Toronto. At this point my family began to grow larger (my wife and I now have two boys, age 10 and 7) and we moved to the Hamilton area, from Toronto. I started looking for a similar program to Sportball out here for my eldest son and realized I was left unsatisfied with the options. So, here we are…

In my spare time I’m happiest when I’m out hiking with my boys and dog, Charlotte, or cheering on my favourite basketball team, the Duke Blue Devils.
