My 2 year old and I had a great experience with the t-ball and soccer classes. Even though his attention span is limited, he was very engaged with the activities that Coach Tim shared with the group. It was a real treat seeing my son make progress every week. Highly recommended if you’re looking for an activity for your little one.

About Sportball North Houston
My name is Tim Yates and I am the Owner of the Sportball North Houston. I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and worked as an Engineer in the oil and gas industry in Houston for 16 years. I have always loved sports so when my children were old enough to start playing I decided to volunteer to coach their teams. I found out that I really enjoyed working with kids and teaching them how to play. One thing I noticed is that the kids lacked basic skills yet were expected to play in competitive games after the first couple weeks of practice. I thought it would be great if there were a program that kids could go to from an early age to learn fundamental skills that would help them build their confidence so they were ready to compete when the time came. When I discovered Sportball it was a perfect match! My wife and I started the Sportball North Houston franchise in 2019 and it has truly been a blessing to make a difference in the lives of so many children through sports.
My wife and I have four children and live in the Humble area of Houston. My two oldest kids play competitive basketball so I also coach their AAU teams in addition to Sportball coaching. In my spare time I enjoy playing the guitar and cheering on the Dallas Mavericks. Lets Go Mavs!

Sportball was an awesome experience all the way around. We participated in multiple seasons/sports, and my son looked forward to it every weekend! Coach Tim was great to work with, and the kids absolutely loved him. There are not many sport opportunities available for kids under 3, but this was a great way to introduce motor skills. The parent-child classes were so much fun for both of us when my son first started, and then it was great to see his skills improve as he moved on to the older classes. Highly recommend!

This was a great program we were so happy to be a part of! Our daughter participated at her daycare. She really enjoyed it and Coach Tim. We participated in tee ball and soccer for her age group outside of the daycare too. I thoroughly enjoyed how the coaches taught them how to run the bases, how to stand in the batter’s box, how to hold a bat, etc…. They teach fundamentals. Now that our daughter is older and in competitive sports she has a better understanding of how things work. This was a great program we were very happy we had the opportunity to do with her.
